I'm reading a book along with my 9 year old daughter - A Single Shard - it's a story about a boy in 12th Century Korea who is an apprentice to a potter. There is a passage in the book that describes the boy's wish to create a prunus vase. The imagery was beautiful to me and inspired me to do some research.These are examples of Celedon Pottery. I love the green so much that I must run now to my studio and get to work with my paints.
Tomorrow I'll post a photo of some paintings I've done as a result of this inspiration!
