Nothing new under the sun

I just completed two paintings with vertical stripes (I'll post photos tomorrow) - then today I made a fabulous discovery of a painter who is known for her vertical stripe paintings - Gene Davis. He was a member of a group of abstract painters in Washington DC in the 1960s known as the Washington Color School. Another fabulous discovery.

Now that's what I'm talking about! Vibrant colors and bold stripes.
